Hyderabad is the capital city of the newly created Indian state of Telangana. With a population of appx. 6.8 million people, it is the fourth largest city in India and the center of the sixth-largest metropolitan area in the country. Hyderabad is located in the center of the Deccan plateau at the river Musi.

Till 2014, it was the state capital of Andhra Pradesh, which has been divided into two states now. For a transition period of ten years, Hyderabad will be a joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The city is also the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad is an industrial city. With the establishment of the Genome Valley Hyderabad has established itself as the center of biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry in India.

It is also a hub of other industries like electrical, software, nanotechnology and mechanical engineering. Cyberabad, a district of high-tech industries is located in the north-western district of Hyderabad also known as HITEC City (Hyderabad Information Technology Engineering Consultancy City).

The city also has a very well developed film industry infrastructure and is nicknamed as Tollywood, the main center Telugu language films.

In recent years, Hyderabad has witnessed a tremendous economic and industrial development owing to combined initiatives by the government and the industry.

Many MNC’s have been investing in the city by setting up their offices and manufacturing facilities. One more reason that has played an important role in the growth of the city is the easy availability of skilled and educated workforce in the city coupled with good infrastructure.

Now as the large companies from around the world are setting up their shops in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Sikandrabad, which have created thousands of  jobs in the foreign and English language industry.

Germany being the one of top economies in the world has been investing in foreign countries including India, and Hyderabad is no exception. With growing investments, collaborations in the form of joint ventures, and trade demand for German Language Specialists in the city of Hyderabad has grown tremendously. No doubt, there is a dearth of quality German speaking professionals in the city, and the gap between demand and supply is ever increasing.
